Soulful Girls Club is our community just for teenage girls with intellectual + developmental differences, to create, move and connect.
This is a free program led by the most amazing group of heart centered volunteers. We meet one Friday night (Cedar Street Community Center, Bridgwater) and one Saturday afternoon (TSP Studio, E. Bridgewater) a month.
Every girl deserves a place to just be a teenager; to hang out with friends, dance to Taylor swift and have FUN. The Soulful Girls CLUB is just that! Crafted specifically for teenage girls with intellectual and developmental differences in mind, we are a first of its kind program in the region and our community, and meet-ups are nothing short of magic.
Our carefully curated monthly events provide a variety of activities for girls with varying interests and abilities, constantly building opportunities to create and move. The girls develop meaningful connections with peers and discover they have a place all their own, where they are seen and valued precisely as they are.

A Safe and Inclusive Space
We understand the importance of providing our members a safe and inclusive space. Our events are held in accessible venues that prioritize the comfort and well-being of every girl. Our dedicated team of compassionate volunteers are made up of moms, nurses and teachers. A nurse and special education professional is always on site and our team ensures that each participant feels safe, valued, and cared for. Healthy snacks are provided.
Forge Lifelong Friendships
Building meaningful connections is at the heart of our community. At SGC the girls get to connect with peers in a fun and supportive environment. Through SGC our girls and their families are creating bonds that can last a lifetime.
Supportive Network
We understand that navigating life with a child with differences can be overwhelming and isolating. That's why The Soulful Girls CLUB offers a supportive network for our amazing girls and their families. Our events provide a safe space for the girls to be and grow, but perhaps as important our parents and caregivers get to connect, share experiences and resources, and find a community that truly understands. On any given CLUB night you can find a huddle of Moms in our care-giver resources space or parents leaving to grab dinner together while their girls have a blast. This is a huge part of our impact.

“Finding Soulful Girls CLUB has been such a blessing for us – when we first learned about the group, we couldn’t wait to try it out! There are so few opportunities available for girls in Maeve’s age group like this, I can’t tell you how long we tried finding something. From our very first visit, it has been nothing but a great experience for her. She loves and looks forward to every event – we’ve never missed it. I love being able to see her have a fun Friday night out with her peers and know that she is in a safe and happy place, and she is equally excited to see the amazing volunteers who facilitate this happening. And of course, we can’t forget about The Soulful Girls Formal Ball. These events have perhaps been some of the best days ever for her! She loves any excuse to get glammed up and party. It is so heartwarming to see her leave me at the door to go and great the friends that she has made because of this group – and to just be a kid like everyone else."
